Singing

April 26th 2002

So there is this place about half hour away, called the Irish Moon Cafe. Run by pagans, somewhat popular since our little nitch in the woods doesn’t have very many nice places for people to go. And the owners of it contacted me a few weeks ago, because they wanted to meet local pagans in the area. I believe they found me on witchvox.com which is like…….the most well known pagan site out there.

Anyways, a few of my pagan friends have already been to this cafe, last week they all went up and apparently the owner was there playing bagpipes, and I guess they have entertainment there every week. I’m supposed to go up there tonight with everyone, but I haven’t decided yet.

I’m trying to conjure up the balls to ask if I could play there. I love singing and playing guitar, I really do, but I have this immense stagefright. Ask Jeff. Playing to a computer and recording it is one thing, playing in front of a bunch of people is another. That and I’d have to learn some more pagan oriented music. I actually purchased two CD’s of an artist named Lisa Thiel who does GREAT pagan music and chants. Her albums Lady of the Lake and Journey to the Goddess are fantastic.

So yeah, any encouragment would be great.

Tonight is the first night my sister will be staying over night at my mothers…..and I’m hella nervous about it. I’m worried Pete will show up, or my mom will start filling her head with nonsense again, or -something-.

Did I mention I’ve decided to write a book? A pagan childrens book, actually. And this pagan group I’ve been meeting with has decided to start a book club type thing, pagan books obviously.

I’m a busy bee.

Cat

April 25th 2002

Well he -is- right. This girl we’ve been gaming with the last three days and I did -not- get along. Not to her knowledge, however. I feel bad because I’ve been entirely bitchy about the whole thing, and I know all he wants to do is storytell a game. But man……

It’s like, sometimes you just -know- you aren’t going to like a person. She’s the type of person, like “OMG, like I’m totally a catholic schoolgirl slut in pleated skirts *giggle*”, and then I’m like “OMG, I’m totally going to kill your face.”

So yeah, every opportunity I found, I was ragging on this girl. Mean of me? Yes. Do I regret it? No. I’m cordial to her, but there is no way I’m going to like her.

I was made a moderator at the pick-me.net forum, so I’m like, wow, nice. But then someone (NOT the owners of pick-me, mind you) starts deleting my posts for fear that it might “start an arguement” or “promote an annoying user” and so I asked to be removed. Maybe I’m just in a bad mood? But it seemed like nothing more than a power trip to me. So why stick around? Just remove myself and move on. There are other aspects of pick-me I can help with just as easily.

I don’t think anything beats the ats board anyways.

Group blog coming soon. Ideas for a name for it are welcome!

Thank you to everyone who e-mailed me, IMed me, or left comments. It’s well appreciated.
It’s just been one crazy week, one thing after another. So many animal deaths, more than usual. On top of the guy who died from a heart attack, it’s just death everywhere.
I’m about to head out to a […]
