Singing

April 26th 2002

So there is this place about half hour away, called the Irish Moon Cafe. Run by pagans, somewhat popular since our little nitch in the woods doesn’t have very many nice places for people to go. And the owners of it contacted me a few weeks ago, because they wanted to meet local pagans in the area. I believe they found me on witchvox.com which is like…….the most well known pagan site out there.

Anyways, a few of my pagan friends have already been to this cafe, last week they all went up and apparently the owner was there playing bagpipes, and I guess they have entertainment there every week. I’m supposed to go up there tonight with everyone, but I haven’t decided yet.

I’m trying to conjure up the balls to ask if I could play there. I love singing and playing guitar, I really do, but I have this immense stagefright. Ask Jeff. Playing to a computer and recording it is one thing, playing in front of a bunch of people is another. That and I’d have to learn some more pagan oriented music. I actually purchased two CD’s of an artist named Lisa Thiel who does GREAT pagan music and chants. Her albums Lady of the Lake and Journey to the Goddess are fantastic.

So yeah, any encouragment would be great.

Tonight is the first night my sister will be staying over night at my mothers…..and I’m hella nervous about it. I’m worried Pete will show up, or my mom will start filling her head with nonsense again, or -something-.

Did I mention I’ve decided to write a book? A pagan childrens book, actually. And this pagan group I’ve been meeting with has decided to start a book club type thing, pagan books obviously.

I’m a busy bee.

I say go for it on both accounts :) I’ve heard you play and you’re really quite good, I think you could become a real crowd pleaser. And do have fun with the book, maybe show us a thing or two from it ^_^

Pagan Gatherings/Remembering Jon/Aunt in the Hospital

I am so god damn frustrated. The pagan group that I’ve been a part of for a year now is falling a part. All because the oh so good Pagans who love and respect ALL religions, are now attacking one of our fellow witches on mere hearsay. He is not having us […]
