Jeanie came to visit me

June 4th 2002

Jeanie came to visit me at work yesterday, so that was a very pleasent surprise. She brought her friend Patrick with her, and I think he was a bit weirded out by the store, since it’s a metaphysical store. She bought some stones, and he was asking me about this whole ‘witchy thing.’ He asked if we were like the Blair Witch Project, I had to chuckle and say no. Then he asked about the Salem Witch Trials and I explained them as much as I felt I could.

Needless to say I was glad to see her again for the second time in person.

Depending on what happens when I talk to ‘him’ and my cousin Steph, I might take Sister out for mexican food and icecream tonight. I won’t be able to keep her out too late obviously since it’s a school night and school isn’t out here yet.

I wanted her this weekend, but the mother bitch ship has her this weekend instead.

I called Vernon yesterday (Sisters father) and asked him about what she said to her lawyer. Apparently my sister thinks that she says things she doesn’t mean to, that she’s mean to her teachers and her classmates. But Vernon said he called her teacher right after he heard about it and the teacher said there wasn’t any problems, that Sister is an excellent student.

So what the hell is going on here? Why does she think she’s being mean when she isn’t? Why does she say she hears voices?

I’m hoping she’ll trust me enough to tell me.

This Crazy Life

June 2nd 2002

I’m an emotional wreck, but that’s all I’m going to say about that.

I called my Aunt today, apparently either my mother or her husband Pete called social services on my Aunt, kinda an act of ‘revenge’ because my mother lost custody of my sister.

Childish.

My Aunt also said that when my sister went to see her lawyer, she was saying some strange things. Like she was hearing voices, and that she was evil and the devil was inside her. When she was over here last Thursday she told me she thought people were inside her because she would say things she didn’t mean to say.

Of course this has me scared shitless. I’m hoping her father will get her into counseling -soon-. I’m going to try to spend more time with her…I miss her. And I can’t keep working 6 days a week if I plan to have a relationship with my 8 year old sister.

*sigh* It’s never going to end.

Personal Journal

June 1st 2002

This is going to be short, because I absolutely do not feel like putting in an entry right now.

The judge gave a verdict today on my sisters custody case. He has in fact given us permanent custody. So this is wonderful news. Ironic however, that my mother has my sister this weekend…..so I hope she doesn’t decide to flee state.

I’ve also started a private journal. Well not really private, just somewhere else. I have no qualms about giving you the address. Just ask, leave a comment, or something.

This will still be my regular journal, but there are just some things I really need to rant and get emotional about and I don’t want to always plaster that on here.

Relief

This article depicts several different accounts as to what’s going on down south from Hurricane Katrina. Pretty heart breaking, a mother losing her infant, a couple and their two children found dead in their home. Just a glimpse I’m sure.
Today was payday, so I went ahead and donated an undisclosed amount to the […]
