Happy 4th of July

July 4th 2002

[Update]I am a god damn lobster. My face is so burnt. Help me. And how come my time isn’t working right. I fixed the configuration. It’s not working right on the group blog either. Anyone else having trouble with time in greymatter?[/Update]

HAPPY 4th OF JULY!

Mom is due here any minute to drop my sister off *shiver*. Just knowing she’s coming makes me extremelly uncomfortable. I really don’t want to have any type of relationship with my mother. She called this morning and thinks Sister has Scabbies. Bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech. You can get them by playing in the woods.

I’ll probably take my sister swimming most of today. Maybe that’ll help with the scabbies. I also want to talk to her a little about witchcraft and do a little mini-ritual with her. She has fun with them.

Neppie gave me some good resources to find some pagan statues and I found two absolutely gorgeous ones. One of Artemis and the other of Gaia which is my favorite.

TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY. Yes, tomorrow I will be asking for my raise, after 2 weeks of trying. Jeanie plans to kick my ass if I don’t, so I better :)
A woman knocked on our door yesterday asking for a box. She apparently found a cat with its head stuck in a jar. It was weak, wheezing, and infected, and she wanted to take it to the vet. Unfortunately the cat crawled into a drainage pipe that none of us are able to reach, and I’m afraid it will die there. I feel really bad because I’ve been really really attached to my past two cats, especially the one I have now, and I’d hate to see one die. Actually my dad just came in and told me as I was publishing this entry, that the cat got out of the jar, and it looks a big mess. But at least now it might survive, it might find food and water. I’m not sure what to do about the infection though.

Speaking of cats though, when I went swimming yesterday there was the most adorable orange kitten, couldn’t be more than 8 weeks old. And it kept playing with leaves and sticks right next to the pool while I swam. I want to take it home so bad. Maybe I’ll take it some treats today.

Damn, I forgot I gotta go to court here soon, don’t let me forget to look up that subpoena Ex #4, or I’m in deep shit :P
I took a big step today and removed my wedding ring. Well, there were two reasons I kept wearing it. One because my dad didn’t know, but since now he does……

The other was because I couldn’t get the damn thing off. It was already tight when he gave it to me when I was 16. But I was desperate and it took me a bit. It’s a good step to clearing my marriage, and moving on.

Did I mention I also blog here now? I’m also working on two cliques, one with Stacey and the other hopefully with Melissa. And I’ll be expanding the Merry Meet clique sometime soon with Jenna.

Awww..orange kitty. I saw a black one the other day that I wanted so bad wondering around my house, but it ran away.

Thanks for the note, you did help. And I do believe you are right about humans just not caring about each other anymore…I dont think anyone realizes how sad that is…

And yes, I would love to help you with that idea! Just wait until after this writing residency that I’m doing is over, and then I’ll have plenty of time to start thinking about it. (I’ll be done around the middle of the month). Love you, and thanks for the note. ~ Melissa

I am not PLANNING to kick your ass. I am PREPARING to kick your ass if you do not ask for that raise! I have my baseball bat and crowbar ready in my trunk! ::evil laugh::

Aloe Vera. (Coming from someone who burns after just five minutes in the sun)
