Polyamory
September 5th 2003
Being monogamous when you are around polyamorous people is very intimidating. I’ve sat on several occasions and listened to my poly friends talk about the freedom of not dealing with relationships. Of having multiple sexual partners and liking the ’spice’ it adds to their lives. One of my friends was even making it sound nice not having anyone but yourself to worry about. Living for yourself and not having your world revolve around someone else.
At times it even makes me feel selfish because I’m not poly. Because I want -one- partner and I refuse to share. I don’t like the thought of sharing my partner with anyone else. And I -like- the idea of getting so close to someone, that you can almost read their thoughts. I like having that closeness that I’ve never had except with Ex #4.
Sometimes I do wonder what I’m missing out on. The freedom to go be wild and spontaneous. Othertimes I’m glad I am the way I am. I’m glad I have someone close to my soul, someone I can count on at any given time and not have to worry about their other partners. Someone I know to be safe, not just physically, but mentally. I don’t have to worry about STD’s or mind games, which I’ve seen several of my poly friends have to deal with.
This is of course not to say it happens to all of them. Most of my friends are very safe.
Either way, I still wonder if sometimes I’m some emotional waterfall because I’m monogamous. I hope not.

New Layout : Only took a year
September 5th 2003
So this is the new Tawodi layout. It’s been over a year since I put one up. Holy shit.
I still have some more organization to go through, mostly silly stuff like fanlistings and cliques and things. But I’ll work through all of that later. I also have to go through EVERY SINGLE ARCHIVE from greymatter and convert it to MT. Fun…….. So archives won’t be ready for a while yet
Please comment.
Also Cathy has moved out and purchased her own domain. A short stay with the family, but a well appreciated one. Good luck!

Jehovas Witnesses (again)
September 5th 2003
urg.
Jehovas Witness ladies came back. Asked me what I thought would happen to the earth. Told them we’d destroy it. They quoted bible saying that God intended the world to be around forever.
The End.
Least my poison ivy was good for something, told them they probably shouldn’t come in and that I couldn’t talk long.

Poison Ivy attacks
September 3rd 2003
Witches Weekly:
1. What is your favorite herb, it’s use, and why?
Normally I love Rosemary due to it’s overwhelming uses. But right now I’m wishing I had some Jewelweed for this heinous poison ivy.
2. What was the first herbal concoction that you ever made?
I used some Chamomile as a poultice for my dads leg since he gets a lot of leg ulcers.
3. What is your favorite flowery/herbal scent? (I.E. Roses, Patchouli)
Patchouli for certain, but I am very partial to Sandalwood as well.
The poison seems to be getting worse, but the tea tree oil at least seems to relieve the itching and cool the skin temporarily. I just hope this shit clears up soon because this is probably the worst case of it I have ever gotten. I finally put up my small article about how to fight against poison ivy NATURALLY on Witches Weekly for those interested. I have yet to find Jewelweed myself, and tea tree oil seems to be working well.
I would write more, but right now I don’t even want to move.

Controversy
September 2nd 2003
You know, I really didn’t mean to stir up any sort of controversy in my journal here about the firedancers at the campout this weekend. You guys put up an amazing performance and I hold you all in high regard for that.
I personally love techno music, I use it for drum practice quite often. But just because I would have prefered a little less of it during the campout certainly doesn’t mean I was against you bringing it to the campout at all. I had a wonderful time with the DJ and actually asked him to name some of the pieces he was playing so I could get them for myself.
And as far as the threesome making out on Sunday. To each their own, I don’t judge them for what they did, I only wish it wasn’t in front of the kids we had brought.
Hope there aren’t any hard feelings.

Poison Ivy
September 2nd 2003
It’s located between my fingers, between my toes, on my rear, on my thighs (all over), and on my chin.
Yes I had a rump with the poison ivy. Hopefully oatmeal and tea tree will take care of it.
