Holidays and CLG Taxes

December 27th 2003

My two online holiday greetings from two very good friends:
Thank you Sarah!
Thank you Kristen!

I definately had a better holiday than I had expected. Being as we were so poor this year for one reason or another, I didn’t expect to get much of anything. But my dad, in his limited yet resourceful ways, was able to get me some earth colored scarves and gloves I wanted, with furry leopard spotted slippers. Also some chocolates and “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “LoTR: Two Towers.” So it was excellent :) He really enjoyed his gifts too, especially the two large Native American warrior statues I found for him.

Speaking of Pirates of the Caribbean, I was just not impressed. I mean I love seeing Johnny Depp in eyeliner as much as the next girl, but the movie itself was just bad. It had no solid plot, it’s as if they took several different elements and tried to shove them all together.

Last night “Ex #1″ came over and gave us some gifts. The bastard bought us a bunch of DVD’s, and I was like “Man, now I have to buy a DVD player because my PS2 is broke,” but low and behold, he bought us a DVD player too. So I was able to stay up and watch all Ex #1tra stuff about “Conan the Barbarian” last night, since that is my ultimate favorite movie.

I’m going down to the Grove for a Yule party this weekend. We’re doing a Secret Santa thing with Grove members this year, no more than $20, and my Secret Santa person asked for feathers or crystals. I got them a suede pouch of Amethyst crystals, so I hope that’s enough…

SPEAKING OF CEDARLIGHT.
We got our Tax Assesment results back, and they are granting us 50%, which is EXCELLENT news. We’re debating trying to go for the full 100%, due to the problems it could cause, but this is an awesome victory for the pagan community in general. Thank you SO MUCH everyone who signed the affadavit for me :)

I feel that way about Pirates of the Carribean, too. Johnny Depp was GREAT in it but I didn’t think the movie was all that amazing.

WOW YOU ARE LIKE SO LUCKY!

Tell Alex if he’s willing to sponsor someone in the Philippines.

10 things you shouldn’t buy new, by Liz Weston.
Few people really enjoy wasting their hard-earned money, but many of us do it every day by buying new. We could do our pocketbooks, and the environment, a big favor by opting to be the second owner of some of the stuff we buy.
Obviously, some things are […]
