Second Degree Burns

January 30th 2004

So I managed to give myself second degree burns on Wednesday. Putting wood in the woodstove, a piece fell on my arm and pushed it against the stove wall on the inside. It actually looks pretty nasty, and I scanned a few pictures which I may post later, but I doubt anyone would be interested. It’s all pus-like and burning. But I think it’s starting to heal.

Interview with the part-time Vet went well. I hit it off with some of the employees already there. Still haven’t heard from the Office Manager at 24 hour, but Coryn says the job is mine, they just have to fire this other girl. So I’m patiently waiting. I do believe I’ll call tomorrow though, just to find out what the status is.

My pitbull came inside today bloodied up. I of course freaked, and tackled him to check and make sure he was okay. Apparently he had just killed a squirrel. Lucky for him, but very unfortunate for the squirrel :(

State of the Union

January 20th 2004

“That statute protects marriage under Federal law as the union of a man and a woman, and declares that one state may not redefine marriage for other states. Activist judges, however, have begun redefining marriage by court order, without regard for the will of the people and their elected representatives.”

Oh give me a break. I STRAIGHT BUT NOT NARROW. Gay marriages are JUST as sacred, dumbass.

The Intervention

I went over my sister’s house, but I couldn’t do the intervention. I just couldn’t. I don’t know if it’s just that I don’t want to upset her, or don’t want her to think I’m trying to get her to hate our mother, because I’m not. She seemed fine when I showed […]
