New Years Resolutions

January 1st 2004

Why do most people not stick to their New Years Resolutions. We aim to, in a vain attempt to make ourselves feel better, but as a whole, we don’t. My dad just made this huge thanksgiving feast thing for New Years, so I’m quite full.

In reflection of this past year, I’d have to say it was one of my worst. Granted it has it’s moments, but it was really a bad year for me.

2003 - The Bad

  • Lost my job for something that was later found not my fault
  • Got another job, only to be fired a month later for reason above
  • Denied Unemployment
  • Umeployed for the rest of the year except for some odd jobs
  • Had Car Insurance revoked
  • Was abandoned on my birthday yet -again-
  • Broke up with Jeff
  • Mom continuously harassed and manipulated me and my sister
  • My squirrel died
  • I barely did anything productive the entire year
  • Lost touch with some friends
  • No money
  • 2003 - The Good

  • Was contacted by a record company
  • Had a really excellent summer with Jeff
  • I have a wonderful new dog
  • Became more involved with CedarLight Grove
  • Accomplished a lot on my MUD
  • Goals for 2004

  • Create and perform daily exercise and meditation routine
  • Finish my demo and send it in
  • Get signed
  • Open My MUD for play
  • Get a job, develop a career, and KEEP IT
  • Pay off any outstanding debts and start saving money instead of living paycheck to paycheck
  • Finish the Dedicants program and read all of my books
  • Start another herb garden this spring
  • Take better care of myself
  • Clean out our basement and garage
  • Visit my friends more
  • Buy a keyboard, learn to play piano
  • Clean more
  • Take a luxurious vacation and pamper myself more
  • Talk to my online friends more and leave more comments
  • Increase my music portfolio and write more music
