Home from Wellspring

May 31st 2004

I’d love to know what dumbass decided that the ride home would be 8 hours instead of the usual 6. Yes, I’m home, finally. I’ll try to give details later, but I’ll probably be up a while getting all these Wellspring photos up on the CedarLight website, so we’ll see.

Had a -wonderful- time and met -wonderful- people. More later.

Jeff stress, health insurance, music

May 26th 2004

A lot of emotional stress going on with Jeff. I don’t really know what to do about it. I guess just take one day at a time. It has me quite miserable though, looking forward to my vacation this weekend.

I’m going to New York from Thursday through Monday, leaving bright and early Thursday morning (6am) to drive up to western New York where I’ll be camping. There should be alot of music, so hopefully I’ll enjoy myself. I just need to get away.

I got Aflac health insurance today (even got my quacking duck plushie). First time I’ve had health insurance since I turned 18 and was taken off my mothers insurance for being an adult. They actually seem like a pretty kickass company, though I’m never sick or injured (if I am I just tough it out), so hopefully I won’t have to put it to good use.

Speaking of my mother, I actually passed her on the way to work Monday, she saw me and beeped her horn, I didn’t acknowledge her. She then called my cellphone but I didn’t answer. That’s all I need, more stress from her.

Trying to find information on the local music scene in Baltimore/Maryland. I really want to start getting involved with music and local bands and see where I go. I’m really confident that I could do something with it given the right opportunity.

Pittbull Puppy

May 25th 2004

We had this gorgeous blue pitt puppy come into work today to get an ear cropping. I hate ear croppers.

But I did get some pictures and a video of the puppy. I fell in love with him, I kept going back to play with him.

Boston Terrier C-Section

May 20th 2004

So we had an emergency c-section for a Boston Terrier come in today, and we got to help deliver. You can see a video of one of the puppies here, and a few pictures (possibly not for the faint of heart) are below.

Oh, and one of the kittens -did- die this morning, the one that was thought to already be dead, but the others are do well so far.

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to those that are celebrating today. Though I don’t know what it means to say “Happy Thanksgiving.” Does that mean I hope you have a good time honoring our ancestors that came and stripped land from the Native Americans and gave them smallpox?
Eh.
I think instead I’ll honor those Native […]
