Troy
God damn “Troy” looks like it’s going to be a good movie. I don’t know what it is, but when I watch the trailers, I’m like overcome with excitement. Mayhaps it’s the storyline. Maybe it’s because they’ve done such a good job at the theatrics. Perhaps part of it is watching the war erupt full of emotions.
“No son of Troy will ever submit to a foreign ruler”
“Then every son of Troy, shall die.”
I don’t even care who is in it anymore. I just love the idea of history (for the most part) being displayed right before my eyes.
I wish I could explain my facination, or even obsession with Greek and Roman Mythology. Not even just Greek and Roman. I just watched the A&E special on Helen of Troy, and they did an -amazing- job on the story. They put a lot of time and thought into it, and displayed it in a manner that left me in complete awe.
Is it weird of me to sometimes wish there was a way to know for sure whether certain historical stories were true or not? I mean it’s something I’ve given sincere attention to. I’ve even daydreamed about being able to live in those times, as brutal and as harsh as they might have been, if there was an era of time I’d like to be sent back to, it would be around when the ancient God’s were revered. I know, that leaves a broad scope, but I like so many pieces of various era’s. I hate how things are so dismal and controlled now, but still, I like my freedom.
Don’t mind me, I just like to think sometimes.

I can’t wait to see it.. I think it feeds into my love for epic stories as well as my fascination of all thinks Greek.
Not to mention now far film has come in the past decade makes it all the more exciting.
