Recording Shinedown

May 10th 2004

Man, been practicing that Shinedown song……I can really wail it. Just have to work on the switches. This is a definite must for recording. But I’m worried about when I hit the high notes it’ll be too loud…..hrm.

My eyes are still burning :(

Shine Down

May 10th 2004

Just downloaded Shinedown’s version of the Lynrd Skynrd song “Simple Man.” A good representation of the type of music I want to play. An acoustic rock, possibly an acoustic hard rock with a little bit of tribal instruments thrown in for flavor. They did a KICKASS job on this song. The guys voice is just absolutely fucking amazing, if you want my honest review. They did the song some real rock and roll justice.

Now if only I could get my demo together, maybe people will one day be talking about -me- like that. I’d like to do a duet with this guy.

A Rant about Jeff and Fraternities

May 9th 2004

I feel like crap today, not exactly sure how I’m supposed to function at work. Who knows, maybe work will be good for me, keep me distracted.

Jeff told me last night he wasn’t working on the MUD this summer, which pretty much means at all. This is a project we’ve been working on for years, and we’re so close to being done and he just wants to quit. It’s very irritating, disappointing, and what hurts the most is I think he’s doing it for spiteful reasons.

My friend Borlak, however, convinced me for the most part that I can do this by myself, though I’m still doubting that. I’m at least going to try.

If anyone reading this is a creative writer and interested in a roleplaying game set in a medieval fantasy world and it’s design, feel free to contact me.

The worst part about last night, that no matter how much I attempted to be nice and tell him how I feel (which I probably didn’t accomplish 100%), I was mocked. Mocked and laughed at and made to feel like complete dirt. Who cares about my feelings, they’re not important. Of course everything I’m saying must be a complete fucking lie. But feel free to continue trying to be the ‘cool frat boi’ if that’s what makes you have “more confidence in yourself” or however you put it. As many stupid things as your frat buddies have done, and as much as you have complained about the sheer assholishness and ignorance they’ve had, now you want to be like them?

A walking penis with a bottle of jack in one hand and a breast in the other.

I wish I could respect you, I wish we could be friends, I wish that you never became THIS person and that we were still together. But every time these issues came up, you did nothing but became defensive.

Makes me sick.

One of the pitfalls of working in a warehouse of very old yet a very beautiful mix of archaic and contemporary style, is the occasional bat guano on your desk and/or keyboard.
