Another Horoscope

June 30th 2004

This one is lookin good too:

ARIES (Mar 20?Apr 19): You are delicately balanced between the dark and the light. You’ve been through some rough times as you’ve faced your own demons, but hope springs eternal for you Rams. Even when you are having a hard time, there is always the next adventure waiting to be born. Patience isn’t easy for you; you want it now. Before moving on, get serious about what you need to complete.

First Day of the New Job

June 30th 2004

Just finished my first day at my new job. I’m loving it so far. The people there are great. Whereas at my previous employment, when you walked in the door you could just feel the negative energy/angst/gossip floating around, when I go to work now, everyone is very laid back and casual. Of course at the Vet things got so busy and hectic, it was understandable that a lot of people would tend to stress themselves out. Now for the pros and cons:

Pros of my new job:

  • More pay
  • Better Hours, day hours where I don’t have to get up too early, and I’m home in time for dinner and sunlight. Plus I get off most weekends and EVERY Sunday.
  • Less stressful. Less phone calls, less ‘busy’ atmosphere
  • MY OWN OFFICE. Yes, I will have my own office, my own desk which I can decorate/organize how I see fit, my own computer WITH internet access. Though I will be careful not to abuse this segment
  • I really do love the people. One of the guys bought me lunch today, they offer me to go out on smoke breaks with them, even though I don’t smoke. We just stand outside and chat. And they are allowed many smoke breaks.
  • Hour lunch break! Compared to the Vet where we weren’t really allowed to eat OR have breaks
  • No more scrubs. I can wear normal work attire. They will assign 1 or 2 sets of uniforms just to have, but for the most part just regular work attire
  • Off every holiday
  • NO TRAFFIC. Where I work, I go the opposite way that everyone is going in the AM and the PM. Plus I take a lot of back roads
  • Cons of my new job:

  • I’ll have to take out my eyebrow piercing every day
  • When I worked at the vet, I already had a background with animals. This is an entirely new field for me so I have much learning to do
  • Going to have to take some training courses
  • Still dealing with customers, but no where near the severity as the Vet
  • Overall I am so ecstatic that I have this job it’s not even funny. I plan to study as much as possible the material I was sent home with. I will kickass.

    Horoscope

    June 29th 2004

My horoscope for tomorrow, my first day at my new job:

ARIES (Mar 20?Apr 19): Even though you have been under long-term stress from Saturn (now joined by the Sun and Mercury) in Cancer, today could bring you an easing of the stress. Needless to say, your life is changing as you reconsider who you are and where you are going. But now, as temporary as it might be, the sky is clearing and you can see your future clearly in your mind’s eye. Remember that time is on your side, even if you feel like you’re running behind schedule.

    Midsummer and New Job

    June 29th 2004

I had a good time this weekend at the Grove. Enjoyed getting away for a few days and spending time with good friends. I did some personal prayers of my own to help clean up some issues in my life. It seemed like the perfect time to do it.

Nervous about my first day at work tomorrow. Got some new work clothes which I love. Need to bring a notebook to take notes with.

    I really miss the Co-Op.

    Snow

This morning was absolutely gorgeous. Everything was blue due to the sun barely being up, and the snows were covered with snow. So I shot a few pictures, however I was in a hurry to get to work for a meeting so they aren’t very good.
