Bomb Scare?

August 16th 2004

For some reason there’s been firetrucks from all of the surrounding cities, and even from the next county, going up and down my street tonight. Toni, you might have been hearing them too since you live right down the street.

It’s the weirdest thing. One of the neighbors rode his bike down the road and said there might have been a bomb threat or something. I guess I’ll hear about it in the paper in the morning.

Sati and the Squirrels

August 14th 2004

Sati came over yesterday to stay the night. We didn’t do much, just enjoyed each others company, watched TV, played on the internet.

This morning I decided to cook breakfast. Which consisted of crisp bacon, fresh eggs (from this morning) cooked in left over bacon grease and a touch of oregano, apple cider from the local fruit market, fresh tomato from our garden, and toast with Sati’s very own apple mint jelly she made herself (of which I’m sitting here eating right now). We made BLT sandwiches and talked about the Grove around the kitchen table.

After Toni came to pick her up for a stich and bitch, I decided to take some pictures of My Son and the new addition to our turtle colony (Pictures of both to follow). I then laid out in the hammock under the trees watching the squirrels daringly jump over my head from branch to branch, on occasion dive bombing me with nuts.

Work and Dads Surgery

Made it into work fine, just kept my bronco in 4-wheel drive.
I’m working the christmas tree farm on Sunday for extra cash to give all to my father. It’ll be exhausting and freezing work, but satisfying in the end. Which is all that matters.
My father may be scheduled for surgery on Friday in […]
