The Grove and Work

September 20th 2004

A long weekend.

I think Sati is going to do really well with her job, I just think she needs a little more confidence in herself that she can do it. Course I understand where she’s coming from, I was probably the same way when I started. But you’ll learn as you go.

Saturday, work, lunch, shopping.
Sunday, the Grove. Very stressful, very emotional for some people. It’s been a hard couple of weeks. I finally decided to express how I felt, not caring who it pissed off, and I think it brought a lot of issues to the surface that needed to be there. Next weekends Witan (board) meeting should be interesting, I’m going to help gather a lot of facts and information and be very adamant about some issues which is also going to piss some people off. Two inparticular, and those two I just don’t care.

A few of us have been studying liturgy, which is fun and interesting. Eventually I’d like to be ordained clergy and perhaps a Senior Druid myself. I like being creative with rituals and ceremonies and I think that’s something the Grove could use. I’ve noticed a lot of us younger folks are that way.

I still love work. I’ve been given a key and even “ran shop” by myself on Saturday. I’m working towards earning a raise for my 6 months.

Eh, lot of rambling.

Liturgy is something that interests me too. Eventually, long down the road, it might be the direction I go as well. Words, worship, poetry, all interest me as much as magic and mythology do. So much to learn and so little time.

What I need vs What I want

While I was invariably stuck at a red light for 8 minutes this morning outside of work, the only station that plays actual music in the morning (a classic rock station) started playing a song that for some reason just…….made sense to me. Like a lightswitch.
“You can’t always get what you want. But […]
