Smokey Bar

September 19th 2004

Received this comment in my inbox the other day:

Hi, I am 43, have played guitar in and out of bands for 25 years. I just listened to your versions of simple man and house of the rising sun - oh, about 10 times each… I really enjoyed them and felt much emotion when I listened to them. I would like to sometime play guitar for you in some smokey bar, sitting on a chair while you sit on a bar stool singing. Your voice is very magical, and has deep feeling to it. Keep up the great work. I would like a mp3 of them to save if possible. Thanks for making my day.

That’s exactly what I’d love to do. Thank you so much for your comment.

Recycle your Cellphones

September 16th 2004

An article in Organic Style about how to Recycle your old Cellphones reads:

Call2Recycle (website)
You’ll help the environment and help your neighbors in the process. Drop off your old cell phones at one of our thousands of national collection centers. We’ll recycle them or refurbish them, and donate a portion of the proceeds to select charities. Visit our website or call toll-free 877-2-RECYCLE for the recycling center nearest you.

Reminicing

September 14th 2004

I just had one of those reminicing moments. I used to be a big fan of this site called “Catty Goths Reality Check.” It was a large site back in the day, a few “Goth” girls would find some really freaky people on the internet and make fun of them and give them what was called a “Reality Check.”

I specifically remember one “Reality Check” they did for this guy who dressed up like Peter Pan. Like, all the time.

I just saw the guy on VH1 and it blew me away.

There’s also a girl on there who was a very beautiful young girl who is trying to get to 600 pounds? Whyyyyyyyyy?

MT Comments

September 14th 2004

Man, comment spam on MT has been really bad lately. I think I’m going to go ahead and install some form of spam blocker, but there are so many I’m not sure which one. I think MT Blacklist is the most popular?

Suggestions?

Sati’s first day

September 13th 2004

Since Sati has been restricted from the computer tonight, I thought I’d go ahead and give a small update.

Work went well, mostly paperwork for her, but I think after the training period is over she’ll enjoy it more. Enjoyed having her around and being able to go to lunch with her. I think she hit it off with people well and I honestly hope it’s a job she’ll like.

I had a wonderful day, busy and stressful at work, but still a wonderful day. Don’t really want to get into all the details, but it’s because of a very special person.

Also my friend Ray tried to send me a very belated birthday present, but it arrived today torn open and stolen. Who the heck does that anyway.

Fanlisting for me?

September 10th 2004

Oh wow, just discovered that my friend Candice made a fanlisting for me. It’s such a gorgeous site too, and her codes are perfect. She has codes for all different interests of mine!

So hey, if you’re a fan of me, sign up: Crys fanlising (you don’t have to have a website to join)

That really cheered me up, and I needed it. Thanks.

Thoughts on Suicide

There’s not a soul online to talk to right now, and I am in desperate need of it.
Tomorrow night Ex #4 will be going to some fraternity dance thing, and he’ll have to take a date with him. I wish I could really explain why this is so hard for me to deal with, […]
