Again

January 31st 2005

It feels like it’s happening all over again with Luke. I wish I knew why. I don’t think I can deal with a repeat of last fall.

My weekend was okay, I tried to distract myself as much as possible. Got some computer work done, which is always nice. Watched Troy a lot, which is very nice. Spent time with my father, talking over things, about my future.

Have to trek up to Pennsylvania sometime soon to give my aunt my tax papers. Paying off one outstanding debt and putting the rest into savings.

I start guitar lessons next week, I’m excited. But more excited for my friend Michael to come home safe and sound from Russia.

Do you ever get the urge to just throw everything away and start over?

Guitar, Websites, and Babies

January 24th 2005

Computer is back up and running good as new (hopefully). Still not quite sure what was wrong with it, but as long as it’s working.

My friend Jason is in the hospital, his wife is having a baby I think. Though I haven’ heard from him so I don’t know any details. I’m just excited.

Got an offer to design a website for a company. I’m probably going to take them up on it to make some extra cash.

Going to start guitar lessons next month. The teacher just called me back tonight to confirm. He has a masters in music and has been teaching playing for over 25 years, so I’m pretty damn excited.

Overall, things are pretty good. Now to work on the finances.

Computer Down

January 24th 2005

Apparently my monitor decided to blow up last night. At least I hope that’s all it is. I switched my video cards out, but my computer just doesn’t want to load up and recognize my monitor. However when I unplug the monitor, it still gives me the “no connection” screen. So what the hell?

Thank whatever gods for internet at work though. Or I would have missed a very important e-mail.

Checking around for another monitor now, lets hope that’s all it is.

Snow Pictures

January 22nd 2005

Man the drive home was nasty, nasty and slow. They haven’t even started to plow roads yet, not even on main street in Westminster. I guess cause it just keeps getting so bad. In fact by the time Ron brushed off one side of his car, the other side was covered again. Crazy.

Took some snow pictures once I was safely home though:

Snow!

January 22nd 2005

Whew, snow, lots of it. Well, -will- be lots of it apparently. Left really early to get to work early, but ended up stopping to pull a lady out that had slid of the road. And since it was on a rather desolate part fo the road, and I have a tow strap, I was more than happy to oblige. But of course it was a pain in the ass and took a good part of an hour to get her out. Especially since one of my hubs isn’t working so really I only have 3-wheel drive.

But I made it to work only 5 minutes late.

Only Ron and I here at work today, he fortunately came in to make some extra phonecalls and said he’d hang out with me since we’re allowed to leave early today. So we’re just hanging out for the most part.

Don’t think the party is happening tonight, and don’t think I’m going to the Grove tomorrow morning, so I’ll probably organize an online meeting tomorrow for the monthly board meeting.

Had my hair done yesterday, it looks cute I think, though the streak is actually almost white it looks like. Decided for the second time in my life I’d have hair yanked from my skull (eyebrows) and am now sitting here wondering why I decided to do that. But whatever.

My friend Steph

My cousin and best friend Steph(19) just informed me that her husband Ben joined the military in early December. I knew they had been discussing it for a while, but figured it wasn’t an immediate threat.
Steph and I have always been best friends, even when we were little. She was so adorable and […]
