Today

March 30th 2005

Some positives for today:

  • Al Green
  • I love it when you experience that first beautiful day of spring. It makes me all giddy inside, and that’s how I was all the way to work this morning.
  • Every morning on the way to work, I see a beautiful indian woman walking down Pennsylvania Ave in Westminster with her toddler. I wonder where she goes after she drops her other child off at the bus stop?
  • Cleavage
  • Michael attempting to call me on my way to work to tell me he loved me.
  • A beautiful fiery red sunset on the way home.
  • Strawberry milk
  • Home grown potatos
  • Reorganizing my room. For some reason it always makes me feel more productive, and allows me to actually enjoy cleaning my room. I’ve been purging so much crap, I just don’t know what to do with myself.
  • Finding things from my childhood, I’ve scanned a bunch of them.

    Spring Altar

    March 27th 2005

I put up a spring altar, it’s nothing overly fancy but it makes me think of spring, and isn’t that the point? A lot of stones this time, ranging from Malachite, Serpentine, Aventurine, Emerald Calcite, Herkimer Diamonds, Copal, Jade, Garnets, and some really nice Phantom Quartz points.

    Ticket

    March 27th 2005

The Great Spirit or whatever “powers that be” must have decided that I wasn’t supposed to leave the house this morning.

My dads cadillac is broken down, so I attempted to drive my bronco down to Baltimore for the board meeting at the Grove. Braving the tyrant of gas prices in my gas glutton of a vehicle.

As an Easter gift, a state trooper decided to pull me over and give me a ticket for not having my seatbelt on. No points (how nice), but I couldn’t find my vehicle registration, so he decided to be extra giving with a fine for that. What’s worse is I found the vehicle registration like half an hour later poking out of my ashtray with a mischevious little smirk on its face like it was playing game of hide and seek right out in the fucking open. And since I don’t smoke and never use the ashtray, of course I wouldn’t look there.

But I was determined to make the board meeting, so I start trucking it down 795 slowly but surely. But that would be too easy. My bronco starts stuttering. Not just your random stutter…but the kind of stutter that’s like coughing up a hairball the size of cuba, stutter.

So I call the Grove and tell them there’s just no way I can make it unless it’s on foot. Hopefully they’ll postpone the meeting.

Man today would have been a nice time to have my mustang.

    New Journal Layout

    March 27th 2005

New Journal Layout. If you don’t recognize him, that would be the King himself, Elvis Presley. I’m still doing some tweaking, so if things don’t look quite right yet…

    Hike Photos

    March 26th 2005

So I went on a longer hike today, my dad got home just as I was leaving and decided to go with me. It was nice to get out and clear my head, as things still aren’t quite right. Here’s some photos from today:

    Smile

    March 25th 2005

    Reasons to smile today:

  • Pastel colored eggs swinging from tree branches. What is the history behind these? Anyone know?
  • Farmers beginning to plow and fertilize with the sweet aroma of cow manure for the upcoming planting season.
  • Mud on my boots from last nights hike with my father. He showed me a deer mating tree and we found many deer runs.
  • Ron asking me if I’m wearing patchouli.
  • Bubbles from setting down the dishwashing fluid bottle too hard.
  • Michael
  • Looking forward to tomorrows hike. I plan to go a lot further than usual, have a picnic, and take a camera.
  • Visiting friends this weekend.
  • Pictures of Jason’s baby.
