Life is good.
April 11th 2005
My cousin Steph and her husband Ben are visiting from Germany and they stopped by at work to see me today. They are both gonna visit tomorrow night and go on a hike with me and we’ll probably order subs or pizza or something. This is probably the only time I’ll get to see them though since they have a lot of family to visit while they’re back in the states. So I’m gonna cherish it
And Ben is really bulking up since he’s been in the military, holy jesus.
Feeling pretty good today, very confident about myself and who I am. Not necessarily worried about anything anymore, just kinda going with the flow. Decided to hold off on buying the mustang until like July. Right now I have a lot of things I need to take care of financially (trips and preparing shit for spring), and don’t want to be bogged down with some massive payments just yet. Besides in July the 2006’s will come out and hopefully the 2005 mustangs will be cheaper.
Got a peek at the new Shelby though, and goddamn, it’s like a tightly woven package of pure orgasm. If I lease that might be something I’ll look into getting later on (450+ horsepower holy hell). Right now a 2005 GT will suit me just fine.
Got some camping lined up this spring/summer, so that should be some fun. Finally got me a really nice tent, just need to get a few other small things and I’m good to go.
Everything is beginning to full bloom. Everyday I drive to work I notice more and more patches of skunk cabbage along the creek. Cherry Blossoms are looking absolutely stunning. Thankfully this year I’ll have a camera for when our cherry tree blooms, but it’s really a sight to be held.
Life is good.

Birthday BBQ
April 10th 2005
Today was the perfect day for my birthday BBQ. The weather was great, the company was great. It was just all a good time. Started out playing volleyball with the early arrivers, showing off the new litters of baby bunnies, and firing up the grill.
Unfortunately my mother decided to stop by with my sister, and told me that “If you want your sister to stay for your party, your father will have to change the brakes on my car.” What a bitch.
But after then things were fine. We drank a lot, listened to some good classic rock, talked about everything and nothing. I was worried about mixing two groups of my friends but they all seemed to get along well.
One technician brought me a cake in the shape of a penis, of which I cut the tip off and they made me shove the whole thing in my mouth. Of course, I did.
Then some people from work chipped in and bought me a mandolin for my birthday. I teared up opening it, it was such a surprise. I’ve never had friends do that kind of thing for me before. I was also given a bouquet of flowers and another birthday cake and some beautiful cards.
Needless to say it was a great party, I had a great time, and I love all of my friends dearly for making it such a wonderful day for me.
And since it’s almost midnight, Happy Birthday Michael! I love you so very much!
Pictures to follow:

Curiouser and Curiouser
April 6th 2005
It was a beautiful day for a hike today, the weather was warm, the sun was just beginning to set so it was cooling down. Dad went with me and I showed him where I had spotted my goodies from my hike the other day. On the way back we decided to take a rest on the stone wall for like half an hour. We talked about the old farm and about the mustang I want to get while watching bats fly in and out of the trees.
It started getting dark out before I looked behind me and noticed something moving on top of the hill. I didn’t realize it was a deer until it stood up and perked its ears at me. I was surprised it had even come out of the thicket with my dad and I sitting there talking.
We sat and watched them for about 15 minutes, and I decided to try to sneak closer and get a picture. They must not have been able to catch our scent, because when we stopped after sneaking a few more yards, one of them decided to come closer to us and check us out.
It was amazing watching this deer prance from back and forth towards us on each front hoof as if trying to intimidate us while trying to figure out what we were. Then my dad would whistle and she would snort and hop around before stopping and coming towards us again. This went on for several rounds, the deer flirting back and forth with her high pitched snort.
Eventually we tried to move closer but they ran into the thicket. It was pretty much completely dark out by this time anyway, and I couldn’t get any good shots with my camera. But at least I was able to experience something wonderful with my dad.

Sunsets and Reviews
April 4th 2005
I took some pictures of the sunset from last night, which was quite beautiful. Tonight looks to be just as beautiful.
I was going to hike after work today, but I’m so tired for some reason, I’m not sure if it’s the time change or what. But since I’m going in late tomorrow, I’ll go before work.
I’m growing more and more anxious about buying this new car, but I’m still extremely nervous on whether or not I can afford it. I’m pretty sure I can, it’s just things are going to be tight. Though with the review my boss gave me at work, I’m sure the raise I’m due for in June will come in quite handy. It feels good to have so much praise said about me, and really motivates me at work.
Overall I’m feeling pretty drained lately, I’m not entirely sure why. I’m hoping the weather will pick it back up a little.
