Well if this isn’t the most hilarious but awesomely badass thing I’ve seen. A great way to promote farm produce too.

Hmm
May 10th 2005
Somehow Linkin Park seems appropriate for the way I feel right now. I thought something a little heavier like Sepultura would, but eh. I’m handling this a lot better than I thought I would.
Went out and hung out with some friends after work last night, it was just nice to get out. I may call up some other friends today and see what they are up to. It’s a shame people aren’t as local as they used to be. I remember when we all lived pretty much on the same street in highschool.
So, new directions and paths, only choice I really have is to embrace them. The best way I’ve dealed with these types of situations in the past is just keep myself as busy as possible, so that’s the plan. It’s easier once I’m out of the house. Time to regroup, focus on myself.

Wee Overtime!
May 9th 2005
Busy season is in full swing here at work, and the boss just announced that he will be staying late 2 nights a week, which will free up some of us from having to stay late. And he’s allowing overtime again, and I’ve calculated at least 4 hours over overtime each week, with the schedule changes. So that combined with my raise in June should make for some nice cash towards my mustang, which just gives me more confidence in getting it.
Does anyone have experience buying a new car? I have a few questions.

Mechanical Dreams
May 8th 2005
I’ve been working on my bronco the majority of the morning. My hands are completely black and brown, and my keyboard looks like it was pulled out of the trash because I haven’t washed them yet. Now that I think about it, that’s pretty retarded.
Anyway.
Car musings below, ignore if you don’t care:

Beltane #1
May 4th 2005
In the midst of stuffyness and congestion due to the sore throat from yesterday, I’ve had a lot of time to work on online projects. Though I’m really missing the hiking and look forward to getting out there again soon.
This weekend I trucked up to Glen Rock Pennsylvania for a Beltane High Rite after work. Some people camped for the entire weekend, but due to the rain and having to work Saturday, I decided to just come for the meat of the weekend.
It was good to see some old friends, some that I hadn’t seen in months. Apparently with the rain and the mud, my bronco was one of the only vehicles that could make it up the hill, so I was automatically dubbed to take supplies up for the ritual.
Some people were fairweather pagans and left because of the rain, but the rest of us gutted it out (which is probably why I am now sick). This ritual wasn’t in the regular ADF druid format, but a little of that mixed in with Wiccan quarters. I guess the ritual itself was okay, the environment is always perfect there, and Will and Caryn have always been great liturgists. But a big chunk of the ritual seemed to be dominated by this one Wiccan girl who kept directing the ritual around her. A good 15 minutes on her prayer offering alone, as well as another 15 minutes on her running around the circle out of breath singing some Goddess song. So yes it felt very fluffy, and I wasn’t impressed.
It was a good example of why I never involved myself in Wiccan style, it’s just not for me. Maybe I’ve grown to used to ADF style, I’m not sure.
Anyway, after ritual some guys that drove down from New York and I drummed for hours upon hours in front of the bonfire in the rain. My hands were numb afterwards, and I guess I left about 1am.
Should have another Beltane ritual this weekend at the Grove, which will be a nice relief.
