General Update
What have I been up to lately. Well I’ve been around, just haven’t felt the urge to write anything in here. I’ve actually been overwhelming busy with projects and due to my inability to say no, they just keep piling on. But I enjoy it, so..
Single life has been quite swell, I’ve gotten more attention now than I ever did before. I think Michael is finally starting to treat me better than a stranger again, which is good. I really didn’t want to lose his friendship.
Progress on my MUD is outstanding. I’ve gotten 5 new builders in the past week, and our skill system is 99% complete thanks to Paul. I think we may actually open for beta this summer. I’ve also IMMed on another MUD to help out a few friends, and will be working on redesigning their website soon.
Didn’t go to Wellspring, obviously. I decided that making my friends uncomfortable or have to feel like they are choosing between friends wasn’t worth it. I’m glad I didn’t go for the sole fact that they were able to have a wonderful time. Staying home was actually quite nice, I had a 5 day weekend at home to catch up on things, do some gardening, spend time with some friends. I went to a cookout on Sunday with my highschool crew that was fantastic.
Monday I went down to a dealership in the city to buy or at least price my mustang. They had the exact model/color/etc that I wanted. I was able to test drive it and oh. my. fucking. god. I am positively in love. This car was meant for me and I would have driven it home that same day if I had a co-signer. Being a first time buyer with average credit won’t allow them to finance it for me, so I’ve been trying to find a co-signer. My father may try to buy it himself and have me co-sign, but I don’t know if that would work. He wouldn’t be a first time buyer.
I will have this car.
Work is great, I got a $200+ plus bonus last month and I get a raise this month. Things are slowing down and schedules are finally getting under control. I spent a good chunk of my bonus on some new work clothes since I have a habit of not being dainty with them.
Mom is filing for custody again on the basis that she feels my sister is being exposed to second-hand smoke. Here stupidity just never ceases to amaze me.
Had an pretty bad issue with a good friend on Sunday that was unfortunate. There isn’t anything I can do about it, and it hurt me and eventually made me angry. But I care about them enough to not let it get to me. Besides, my interests have been pointing me elsewhere….
More projects underway. Some of which I’ll detail more later.
