Fathers Day

June 18th 2005

I bought my dad a new recliner for fathers day. Actually it was barely used, and I bought it from the Senior Druid at the Grove, but to us it’s still new. Comfy as shit too. Last Saturday two people from the Grove brought it up for me while my dad wasn’t home. We yanked the old torn up one out, put the new one in, I made up a pretty little card, and that was that. I wasn’t expecting my father to come home before I left, but he did.

He walked in the door and I hear this “You shithead,” followed by him coming into the kitchen and giving me a big hug with tears in his eyes, followed by another “Shithead.”

*beam*

So I think he likes his new present. The other one we had was being held together by 2×4’s and duct tape. And it wasn’t very comfortable anyway.

Been very busy working on my MUD and Cities of M’Dhoria. I’ve averaged 4 hours sleep each night this whole week because of it. But it’s fun so, I guess I can’t complain. I work today, but tomorrow I just plan to relax and spend time with my dad.

My sister is apparently in Alabama right now. I am going to try to get her next weekend because the Grove is having their Midsummer ritual and I’d like her to attend.

Still no updates on the Mustang, I have two appointments I have to make with a dealership and with a loan company. Right now the main thing I’m waiting for is finding the mustang I want to buy. No one seems to have it. *grumble*

I got home about my usual 7pm. My desk arrived around 7:30. Of course I went to work right away. I didn’t stop till 2am, and I’m still not finished *faint*. This was the desk I bought.
