Mustang Blues
I went to the dealership after work on Friday, since I had a half day. The dealership in Taneytown is really nice. Very down home and country-ish atmosphere. They had country music in the background, the walls were old wood paneling, there were a lot of farmers there getting deals on new work trucks and shit. A lot different compared to Koons in Baltimore, who were very clean-cut in suits and ties and obvious sharks.
So I felt pretty comfortable from the get-go. The gentleman I’ve been emailing back and forth sat me down and we went over the paperwork for the sales agreement. I didn’t really haggle too much because for one, I’m sick of all this, and two they already offer me a lower price on the 2006 than Koons did on the 2005.
I have the copy of my sales agreement to take to the bank for the loan. I dropped it off Friday with the assistant manager of the bank, who I actually found out is a great aunt of mine. But she didn’t even look at my credit application before she said I’d need a co-signer because I’m new. So that right there tells me that my credit really has nothing to do with this anymore. It’s because I’m a first time buyer, and only 25 years old. Which is fucking retarded, but whatever.
So we submitted the application with my dad as a co-signer, which I know won’t go through because my dad has poor credit. So now I’m back to square one with trying to find a co-signer. My dad is going to talk to one of his rich old farmer friends and see if one of them will do it. Still trying to keep up hope though.
