Ford Focus
My father went to a party this weekend for one of my cousins. At the party, my rich crazy uncle that I’ve been meaning to ask to co-sign for me, pulled up in a brand spanking new Escalade. His son also pulled up in a brand new suburban.
So my father will be going down later today to ask if he will co-sign for me to get my mustang. If he says no, I have decided to go ahead and buy a brand new focus for temporary. I’ve priced the one I want with the following options:
3-door hatchback ZX3
Pitch Black Clearcoat
Charcoal interior
6-disc in-dash mp3/cd player with 8 inch subwoofer
Traction control
Air conditioning
Alarm system
Front fog lamps with 15″ multi-spoke alloy wheels
Add in the standard features and there you go, a car that prices out about 16k. I will be deposting $2k as a down-payment, and they are offering $2.5k off, I’m thinking for that employee pricing deal. So that brings it down to $12k for financing, which I think I can get approved for. I estimated monthly payments about about $220 a month.
Keep the car for about a year, build up my credit, trade it in for a brand new mustang. Hopefully the 2007 mustangs won’t look any different, or I’ll have trouble trying to find a 2006 I think.
I really just want the mustang, but I may have to build up to do it.
I did do some research into some other cheap ass car options as well, which Michael suggested to me. Though I don’t really know about his opinion on cars. He hates Fords and drives a Del Sol
The cheapest base price for a Honda, is the sedan, which is uglier than hell, and starts out at 13k. I can’t bring myself to buy an import anyway, it just wouldn’t feel right.
The Dodge Neon, which is one of the most worthless cars in existance, starts out at 14k. It’s a crap vehicle, and even though Mopar is probably the only car besides a Ford that I would ever buy, I would never buy a Neon.
Chevy? I’m not even going there. This is about principle.
Ford Forcus start out at 11k. I was raised a ford girl in the country, so it makes sense that I stick with what I know, and stay loyal to father ford. Even if I have to work my way up the food chain towards the mustang of my heart.
