A New Bronco
I’m still trying to decide if it’s considered white trash yet to have 6 vehicles. A friend of my fathers just gave us a 1983 Ford Bronco, and it’s in pretty good shape, even on the inside. It was free, it has a 351 Windsor in it (which is what I’ve always wanted to get in my 1978 Bronco), tires look in good shape, interior is in pretty good shape, few rust spots, needs new headers, new back window since my dad shattered it today, came with an extra tailgate and back window. Dad was going to sell it but I’ve decided to keep it and put it on the road. I just can’t resist broncos. I imagine when I get older I will have quite a few.
I think we’re going to sell the Oldsmobile, thank god, it’s horrendous, but again, it was free. We might be able to get a few hundred out of it, which we’ll look into after we get my bronco taken care of.
My dad is keeping his 1979 F-150 longbed for hauling firewood and what not. Though it needs some serious work, I have no clue how we’re going to do all that.
I’m debating on whether to keep or sell my 1979 F-150 shortbed. It’s the fastest truck I’ve ever driven, when the engine works. I’ll at least rebuild a 460 to put back in it and see what I want to do after that.
And we’ll probably get rid of the 1979 Cadillac because I just don’t think it’s salvagable.
And of course I will always keep the 1978 Ford Bronco, it’s my child afterall.
And to think, soon we’ll have a new car. Least we’re getting rid of two in order to add these two to our collection.
