Tractor Tires

October 2nd 2005

Dad and I just pushed my 1/2 ton 79 f-150 through the woods and into the backyard to start working on it. We had to get his longbed f-150 to help because with the tires being flat, it’s near impossible to move the damn thing. And I had to steer it with no power steering and dodge trees and shit.

Also one of his tractor tires is flat, not sure why. So we’re going to try to temporarily patch it up for now to finish discing the garden. I’m thinking maybe two new tractor tires would be a nice present for my dad for christmas. Thing is they are $300 a piece brand new. Though he says he knows a guy who can get us some pretty good used ones for $300 total.

That and a few westerns and some new shirts sounds like a good christmas to me. How the -hell- I’m going to load them up is beyond me. I don’t know much about tractor tires. It’s a 1947 model A John Deere. I suppose I’ll check Southern States or something.

He needs a new chainsaw too, we’re going to probably need two for each of us this winter. We have enough wood to get us started, but we’re going to have to drag some fallen trees out from the woods later on.

I love fall, makes me feel so productive.
