1983 Bronco
Drove the new bronco to work today for the first time. I can already make a list of things that need to be fixed or adjusted, but the ride was pretty smooth an uneventful, for now.
Power windows and locks
Probably the most retarded and lazy thing ever invented. They have to go, and not just because I put the window down and it wouldn’t come back up. But because if one wire goes crazy, then it all stops working. Back window is an exception. So I will be removing these.
Transmission
Appears to be slipping, could be due to low fluid but I am unable to sit and mess with it at work. Revs too high before it switches gears.
Driver seat
The previous owner took out a bolt. Why? So the driver seat wiggles, nothing hampering, but annoying none the less.
Brakes
The brakes are -wonderful-, stops on a fucking dime, unlike my 1978 bronco. However I can feel a bump, feels like on the driver side, when I brake. Don’t want to fuck up my rotors, so I will have to look into this.
Gauges
Gas gauge doesn’t work, speedometer doesn’t work. Looks like the speedometer is 15 mph behind, give or take. Left blinker doesn’t work on the interior, but apparently on the exterior.
Ignition
Looks like some dumbass at one point used a screwdriver for the ignition at some point. Going to have to replace the entire thing, because it hinders starting it up.
Body is in great shape, need to sand and prime a few spots, especially the front hood. Tires are in great shape, unsure if the 4-wheel drive works yet. Needs a good wash, vaccuuming, and wax, and it’s pretty well off.
