Mustang Update
Well that was about as fun as chewing on rusty nails.
I left work about half an hour early and came home to gather up my dad, some paperwork, and head down to this dealership. I already felt bad about making my dad drive me down there when he’s got a cold.
Anyway, I’m thinking Bel Air, close to the Grove, maybe 45 minutes or so to get there. So we leave the house at 6pm. We didn’t get there till 7:30pm, due to traffic and an accident. Holy hell I didn’t think this place was so far away. Two counties over in Harford County, I finally found the place.
The used car section of the Ford dealership is this little tiny building, like a trailer of some sort, and the guy that greets me at the door is this tall Italian lookin fella named Tony, with half a sandwich stuffed in his mouth. He shakes my hand, and hands me the fucking keys to the mustang and tells me to go ahead and take it for a ride. All he wanted was a copy of my license to do so.
Uh…..okay. He didn’t even ride with me. So my dad and I hopped in and I took it for a spin. It’s a nice car, beige interior, v6, black 2004 mustang. I have to get used to driving a modern clutch though, since I’m used to driving old ford clutches.
I bring it back, and he asks if he can try to get me a better APR than what I was approved for through Capital One. I said sure, whatever, every little bit helps right? So I take the 2 minutes to fill out the paperwork, in the mean time asking if there was anyway to take the car home tonight (considering we just drove 90 minutes to get here).
We have to wait till he talks to the creditors tomorrow. So essentially I drove 90 minutes to fill out 2 minutes worth of paperwork. And looking at the clock right now at 9:14pm, JUST getting home, it was a complete waste of 4 fucking hours of my time.
My father even told me on the way home, he just wanted to call the guy a “mother fucker.” I laughed.
So I’ll hear and answer from him tomorrow, and I’ll tell him then that I’m not coming back down unless it’s to pick up the car. It’s just ridiculous otherwise.

Good luck ! Getting a new car is so exciting (not that I would know I’m still driving the 1st car I’ve ever had - 98 Honda Civic) !

[…] So after all the issues I was dealing with purchasing my mustang, I’ve now received a card saying my tags are in, and that I can come and pick them up. […]
