“You’re like…Wow”

January 27th 2006

This is mainly a gloat post about work, it will most likely not interest anyone but myself.

We had 533 calls come in for the month of January so far. I answered 307 of them, and only missed 6 of them. Less than 1%. For this I have received 4,000 reward points, which is an incentive my company offers to employees who have perfect attendance and do special things. We use these points to buy things from a catalog specially for this program, and they have some really nice merchandise. Like an x-box, les paul guitars, digital cameras, washing machines, refridgerators, etc. I actually purchased my 14×14 coleman tent from it last year.

My co-workers, one being -my- supervisor, aren’t doing so well. My supervisor took 35 calls the entire month of January, and missed 21. That’s 60% missed calls.

My co-worker in the office here (it’s usually just her and I working), took in 191 calls, and missed 87.

So my boss tells me “The others are killing us, but you’re just like……Wow.”

It’s a good feeling. I like doing well at my job, and I definitely like getting rewarded for it or having it noticed. It also makes me feel more secure, which I always have concerns with.
