Cure for Diabetes?
March 31st 2006
A cure for diabetes, and it’s all natural. Now if that were something I could bring into my fathers life, I think it’d do both of us a mound of good. I think this is a documentary I’ll be investing in.

Tis the season for Changes
March 29th 2006
It’s so gorgeous out today, I wish I had known it would be, I would have went to bed earlier and got up to do a morning hike in the woods. I’m so anxious to start doing regular hikes again when it’s not icy or muddy out. Generally when it’s that cold I just want to curl up next to the woodstove, and I certainly don’t want to get out of bed and out from under a warm blanket in the mornings.
I’m going camping next month for an ADF festival in West Virginia. I had a good time of it last year, I’m hoping I will again this year. I’ve also been pondering going to Stones Rising this August. Since I won’t be going to the Wellspring festival in New York. In addition to that, we’ll be having our Beltane ritual the weekend after Trillium, and then after THAT, is the Fairie Festival up in PA as well as the Crann Bethadh/Highland Farms Beltane campout weekend. Not to mention I have the Mud Con on April 7th.
So, busy month that April. Lest we not forget my birthday in there somewhere on the 13th. My friend Dan and I share the same birthday/year, so we’ll be having a cookout on the 30th of April I think. And somehow I have to find time to work on my MUD.
I did get a job offer off of my resume, but it’s not for web design. I believe it’s some sort of scanning/editing of documents down in Towson, so it sounds like pretty monotonous work. However if it pays more than I make here as an office administrator and gets me out of customer service, I just might take it. At least until I do find work in web design.
My friend Dan, who works as chief editor for some sort of publishing company in Columbia also suggested keeping track of his company’s website for openings. Columbia is a bit more of a drive, but having the new mustang helps take care of most of that.
I’ve had a lot of ex’s come back into my life recently. I generally keep good relations with all of them, but this is just getting insane. It drudges up a lot of old memories that I don’t want to deal with, I only want to focus on the future with my wonderful guy. Though I did have my ex-husband stop by to finish filling out divorce papers on Sunday. He’s supposed to drop off some information for me today, and I will probably mail them out tomorrow or Thursday to be filed.
It would be nice if 2006 was a year of changes, it’s starting out that way anyway, with being out of debt, buying a new car, looking for a new job, starting a new relationship, finally getting divorced, opening up my MUD. I’m actually looking forward to the rest of the year.

“That Punk upstart MUD”
March 27th 2006
Or something along those lines.
That’s what some jackass from Cities of M’dhoria is now calling my MUD. And when Sativa and Graven find out, they are apparently going to sue us!
We’ll just ignore the fact that Advent has been up since 2001.
We’ll ignore the fact that Graven, Sativa, Wyare, and Delshara have all done work on Advent, long before I ever stepped foot on CoM, which was only for what 6 months last year? In fact, Sativa and Wyare -gave- me their prog code, to which I give them full credit for in help credits. And that we are technically sister MUDs.
We’ll ignore the fact that CoM is hosted on the adventmud.org servers, and that I regularly maintain any server issues and backups so they don’t lose any information.
We’ll ignore the fact that I still keep in touch with a lot of the staff from CoM.
We’ll ignore the fact that Advent is completely different from CoM, different races, different setting, no classes, no alignments, no levels
I emailed it to Sativa because it amused me, it’ll probably amuse him too.

Ritual, Drumming, and Music
March 26th 2006
I went to another spring equinox ritual last night up at Highland Farms. I sometimes go to more than one ritual for the celebration, but also for the drumming and to spend time with people I know.

Dream: Wax
March 25th 2006
The dream I had last night is only remembered in bits and pieces.
I was having some sort of celebratory cleansing ritual for myself at my house. Will and Caryn were performing it, and Zalon Draconis was there with his girlfriend.
I remember the ritual being somewhat intense and emotional for me. I remember hold up a small glass bowl of red liquid wax, and having to smash it on the ground. But when I threw it down, it splattered all over Zalon, and he got -pissed-. Livid. So I had to have him remove his pants and use an iron and paper towels to iron the wax out of them for him because I felt like an ass.
Aftewards everyone left, and that’s all I can remember. Short and sweet.

CSS Pop-ups
March 25th 2006
I’m looking for an example of someone who has used CSS to create a pop-up page. Everything I google just shows how to make pop-ups on the same page, but I’m talking old school pop-ups where it opens an entirely new page. Has anyone seen anything like this before using CSS?
