Scratches

April 8th 2006

Well, I did the first fuckup to my car. I scraped the back fender at the gas station. It’s not dented that much, but there’s a big claw of red paint between the door and the rear passenger wheel well.

I am so pissed.

I still have a warranty on the car, though I’ve never DEALT with a warranty before, so I don’t know what it covers. I figure if it doesn’t cover this, then my insurance will. But still..it pisses me off. I can’t beat this thing up like I do my broncos, especially if I trade it in sometime over the next year or two.

My poor car.

I am sure your insurance will cover it, but watch out for your deductible. At least the estimates are free.

I don’t know that the warranty will cover something you’ve done.. but hey, it doesn’t hurt to look into it.

But I agree totally with DawnMarie.. take it around for a few estimates, and see what they have to say, and then determine if it’s worth the deductible.

Scratches suck.. I feel for you. =(

Yeah, I’m thinking I can fix it myself though, which will save me a lot of money either way.

So, after my Delurking post, someone mentioned on a friend of mines journal, that they weren’t able to comment. I’m not entirely sure why, since other people have, but it could be a Wordpress error for all I know.
