Where’s George?

June 18th 2006

I came across a dollar bill today with the URL to wheresgeorge.com on it. Being a curious sort, I decided to check it out. Apparently some people are tracking where their paper money goes, and it just so happens this particular dollar bill has been traveling for 56 days from New Jersey. I imagine it’s exchanged many hands since then but that no one bothered to enter it.

Until now.

I actually decided to enter all my bills in my wallet, just to see where they might end up. Those that didn’t have the URL on it, I added it with green pen. It’s a neat idea, interesting to see where these things will end up.
