I think I skipped a couple steps there

August 7th 2006

I got this email from an entertainment company. I imagine it is a generic email sent out to several musicians and doesn’t actually go anywhere (I have a slight distrust for everything in the music business).

Regardless, this person wants to book several gigs for me up and down the east coast, mostly Baltimore (930 club?!) and Boston. If this were indeed a valid email, I am by no means ready to start on anything like that right now, but it does put things in perspective. If I am ever to -be- ready for playing at any of the larger places around here, I’m going to have to seriously hanker down on my music. Playing daily, rather than weekly, actually learning to read music rather than mostly playing by ear.

Would be pretty sweet tho :)
