Stuff like this makes me gush

August 13th 2006

I got this message from a girl on myspace. It’s stuff like this that really makes me want to hunker down with my guitar.

hey crystal, you don’t know me and this may sound weird but i’ve been reading your blog for a REALLY long time now and i just wanted to let you know that you’ve truly been an inspiration to me. Despite all of the issues with your family and everything else going on in the world today, you’re still able to sing and play the guitar so beautifully. I play the guitar and sing too… so yeah, it’s nice to know there are other girls out there who can play and sing too. I really think you’re gonna make it big someday… you’ve got everything… life experiences, talent…. I know I’m just rambling on, but all in all- I really admire you for everything you’ve had to go through… if you don’t make it big… then just remember that you don’t need some talent agency to tell you that you’re talented… and to me, you’re already a friggin celebrity.. haha. Good luck with everything… keep on singing/playing guitar girlfriend… you’re touching lives and you don’t even realize it!

Thanks Emily, you rock :)

My uncles came over to help us kill rabbits. I think we killed about 19 in all. They each took about 10 home, and the rest my dad and I will be freezing.
Being around my uncles though, makes me feel like a little kid. Especially in my family, if you’re […]
