Busy Busy

September 10th 2006

I’ve been extremelly busy.

After a rather nasty email with some nescient language from a Grove mate, to which I have no desire to reply, I’ve otherwise had a fairly decent time.

My father replaced our old faucet in the shower. This is a task in itself, since the knobs themselves are old steel star shaped knobs you’d find in like, a prison shower or something. But we have new knobs, and a filtered showerhead to help filter out all the old material in our water.

In doing so he busted some of our old galvanized pipes in the basement (that’s how old these are, they are still galvanized steel). Galvanized steel apparently builds up with mineral deposits, sometimes to the point that the opening is only the size of the straw. Luckily this doesn’t affect water quality, just water flow. The busted ones are now fixed, at our own expense since the landlord does not pay for anything.

Saturday was mostly spent with my sister, teaching her to do some cooking and general hanging out. I was able to take some pictures of her, since she wanted her own Myspace page. I might post these later.

Sunday we went down to the Grove to visit and see the new babies. And most of this afternoon was spent working on the ADF website and my MUD.

Nothing overly exciting.

Next weekend is a Hellenic ritual at the Grove on Saturday, and my fathers birthday is Sunday, where I’ll present him with his new Stihl 20″ bar chainsaw. The weekend after that is the Fall Equinox ritual at the Grove on Saturday, and the catered cruise on Sunday with my co-workers.

Not to mention I start my Cherokee language classes tomorrow, and work has a decent amount of work piled up for me to do.

There’s just no time for sleep :)

Music: Athas

I’ve stumbled across a new musical artist called Athas on myspace.com. Somewhat folk/celtic sounding, with acoustic guitar, violin, and what appears to be a djembe. Very relaxing and calming music, and I thought I’d share They also have a band website at: Athas Music.
