Defeating teh sickness

December 27th 2006

I think I might use Javascript to develop some online flash card pages for my Cherokee, rather than trying to make my own. They do sell some Cherokee Syllabry Flash Cards, but I might be able to create the same thing digitally.

Last week I saw a red-tailed hawk, two days in a row, resting on the same powerlines, in the exact same position. Wasn’t there this morning, but I miss being able to see them on the way to work like I did when I worked at Terminix.

Ordered a new 500 watt power supply for my computer. My sweetheart thinks that mine is going up because when I start certain programs or even try to use my dvd burner, they work fine for a few seconds and then the computer just shuts entirely down. Right now all I can do is work on websites and play on the MUD. I can’t burn anything, I can’t balance my checkbook in MS Money, etc.

I’ve caught some sort of sickness, I’m guessing from my sister, or from the Grove. I don’t go anywhere, and I keep my desk at work fairly sterile (I even keep organic hand sanitizer here). I’ve been hopped on Echinacea and Vitamin C with some garlic mixed in. I’m also drinking some green tea at work and blackberry brandy at home to help sooth my throat, even if it’s not sore yet. I think I’m doing pretty good at trying to defeat it so far. My ears were ringing this morning and now I’m feeling a lot better. Since I was bed-ridden last February, I’ve been very adamant with my vitamins, so hopefully that’ll conquer the sickness.

My dad and I broke open that wine I mentioned before from a client at work. Wasn’t impressed at all. As a matter of fact, I think it tasted terrible. Aquired taste, no doubt. The sentiment was still nice though. I’d like to find a nice sweet red wine. My friend Frog who is a bartender in Baltimore suggested something called “RedCat” that I might check out. Otherwise I’ll stick with the stuff that the local folk make and bring to ritual.
