Dream: Lions

March 12th 2007

This dream took place in a very foreign neighborhood. I don’t ever think I’ve been in a neighborhood that looked like this. Essentially it was two rows of condos, with a parking lot in between them, and they faced each other.

Somehow a lion had gotten loose. And every few days it’d show up in this neighborhood and eat someone. We’d never know when, and for some reason, everytime it left, people thought it was gone for good.

I remember waking up and peeking out the door and seeing it across the parking lot resting on the awning of a neighbor, waiting for someone to come out. I tried to scream for them to stay inside, but they did not listen. The lion pounced on him and killed him.

The next day, for some reason my dog was left outside, and I saw the lion running for him, so I pulled him quickly inside onto the enclosed front porch. As I was trying to pull him into the house behind the main door, the lion crashed through the screened in porch, but I was just close enough to shut the door. But after that it kept stalking my house.

I can’t remember too many details other than that, as I forgot to write them all down. But I remember trying to escape through various exits and never being able to.
