Mother Nature, So Beautiful

June 14th 2007

On the way home from work last night from Frederick, I heard some thunder in the distance when I left work.

As soon as I got onto 70, rain poured down by the bucket-full, halting 70 to 30mph because no one could see anything.

Once I hit New Market I ran into this:

Once I hit Libertytown, the streets were flooding.

But we so needed the rain, our crops looked wonderful this morning.

I don’t know what it is about storms in general, but I think they are beautiful.

Oh wow those photos are insane! I love dramatic storms…. especially if right after the sky parts…. you can see the most vivid sunsets. I used to love monsoon season back in Tucson heh.

Beautiful pictures! Nothing like a good storm to just make one wish to drop everything and simply enjoy it.

That’s one thing I miss about living back where my folks live, in a town called Delta between two lakes, we had amazing storms. The kind of storms that would come out of nowhere and chase us off the lake at full throttle back into the inlet so we wouldn’t sink when out doing a little fishing in the boat :)

I’ve noticed I’m more disoriented in the mornings now because […]
