Carpet Cleaning and Clergy

June 1st 2008

I spent several hours today moving everything out of half of my room so I could hand-scrub the carpet as I believe an animal has been using it as a litter pan of sorts. After vinegar, soap, and peppermint, I’m hoping the carpet is now sanitized and odor free. Plus it allowed me to go through some more things to purge in my current purging harmony. Some of which may even be useful for auctioning off at the Grove for midsummer. It’s amazing how much excess crap I still have, even in terms of just candles and rocks. The candles I’ll use, the rocks I may go through and sell some of.

I -finally- got word back about my Clergy Vocational Essay today, which I’m very happy about considering this week would mark my 6th month anniversary from submitting. I have to define the general definition of my virtues and then I am good to go apparently. Yay for me.

There was some minor Midsummer planning at the Grove today. I’m not sure anyone knows for sure what direction the ritual is going to go in, but right now it looks like the purpose is leaning towards learning to focus on the present, or learning to be creative in the present. An additional spin is looking like a focus towards multi-cultural solar deities. It looks like I may be honoring the nature spirits of the land by possibly doing more research on native tribes in this region (possibly Lenape, not entirely sure yet what I’m going to do yet).

So while not a Native American ritual (thank goodness), I think I can live with honoring them in a way that the two cultures can relate (I.E. Nature Spirits). I think I can do that without doing a disservice to the Native culture, which is really important to me.

Having another rough day

My father works hard to load up the trailer while I’m at work. I work as much as I can when I get home, but I don’t want him straining himself.
I spoke with a realtor today that was recommended to me, and is also a lawyer, and he said his […]
