Dream: Lions and Tigers and Mule Deer
March 21st 2008
What I can remember of this dream started out on an expedition with several people, including my co-worker Peter. We were in some form of land boat out in a large field when we happened upon a solitary young mule deer. For some reason I dared Peter to catch it, so he ran after it and tackled it. Shortly after another larger horned mule deer came charging and tackled them both. Several of us ran after Peter to pull him out of the entanglement, but a host of other vermin such as lions and tigers started attacking us and the land boat. I remember one gentleman having his head speared by the jaws of a falling lion.
Several people were killed, Peter and I were not among them as I was able to pull him to a thicket to wait out the attack. We were able to gather up the survivors and get out of there.
Fast forward to the trip home, I drive my Aunt Patty home (I’m unsure if she was with us in the expedition but I assume so), but there are what is called a “Rocky Mountains Wolf” all over the neighborhood. These are actually just wild Dobermans…..and we don’t live near the Rocky’s, we live near the Appalacians, but anyway. In order to allow her to walk to her house, I have to chase off these wild Rocky Mtn Wolves, and I figured if I shot into the air it would do the trick. But instead it made them more volatile and they tried attacking the car.
Fortunately she was able to make it into the house.
Fast forward to trying to get home myself. I followed some directions given by my mother which landed me in Chicago, and then in Pennsylvania, and was an extremely out of the way route. I called my Aunt for better directions and found a highway I knew could take me home.
I stopped off at this small diner, and there sat my co-worker Peter, Erin, and their bulldog Emmy. I sat down at their table for a few and asked if my directions were correct to get back to Frederick, and they offered me a bite to eat. I make myself a bowl of cereal and begin eating it, when Emmy shakes her head and flings snot in my cereal.
And then I woke up.

Dream: Armies and Tunnels
December 28th 2007
The dream started out on the border a thickly wooded area, with a field of some type of soybean or something, and then a dirt path. On the other side of the path started a decline grassy field with several large rocks and boulders throughout. Me and several people from my “army” were on the path, when we noticed another army coming for us through the woods. They were dressed in shiny plate and leather kilts and armor.
We started to flee down the boulder-ridden decline, diving into another wooded area on the other side. We were caught by surprise and nowhere near ready to take on a fierce army like the one that was racing behind us.
We made it to a large rocky cave, which we followed into the basement of the “mansion” that I work in IRL (only I’ve never actually seen the basement). The mouth of the other end of the cave was protected by old iron bars, which we closed and locked to give us more time to get out.
I ran upstairs and got onto a PA system to announce to my co-workers and some other strangers that were in the building that they had to get out because the enemy was coming. Our Systems IT guy kept turning off the PA system because he thought I was fooling around. I finally convinced him that we were really going to be attacked so he’d leave me alone.
Then we started figuring out the best way to get everyone to safety with the enemy so close behind. We had a central core of tunnels that all met up in the basement and went in 4 different directions that lead fairly far away. However the tunnels were actually those enclosed slides that you see at amusement parks. So whichever tunnel we chose we’d slide all the way to our destination in the dark and hope that they didn’t realize where we went.
So I gathered everyone together and started putting people through one of the tunnels that lead westward. By this time the army had reached the end of the cave and were hoarding at the iron gate. They started shaking the gate and using tools to try and saw or push through. We started using archers to pick off the ones in the front, and they started using archers to pick us off the large winding iron staircase that we were hiding on.
I finally got everyone into the tunnel and hopped in myself, and once I reached the other side we started herding everyone into the woods just in case they came out through this tunnel as well.
And then I woke up.

Dream: Hanging Classroom and the Right Breast
December 23rd 2007
It’s been a while since I’ve had a vivid enough dream to write down.
This particular dream takes place in a hanging classroom, that looked much like the oval window-lined conference rooms at my job. The building was suspended a hundred feet (maybe more?) over the ground, and would sway with a heavy wind. I have no clue what the class was studying, but I remember a few of my old highschool classmates being in it.
The assignment was to study the breast, I believe, and we were all asked to expose our right breast. I don’t know why, because the weather started to pick up at this point and the classroom was struggling to stay together.
The weather got bad enough that we could no longer exit the classroom because it was swaying so much (one would think we’d be evacuated before this happens). But in case of such an emergency, there were crappy parachute/lifejackets available.
So we were all given one of these, and then opened the back door in order to jump out to safety (in a storm no less). The landing was not very safe, the parachutes were pathetic, but I think we all made it out unscathed. Of course I left my bag/keys in the classroom, so I had to wait until the storm was over to retrieve them. I waited in a small diner till the storm passed, but could not eat or drink because I had no cash.
And that’s pretty much it.

Dream: Carjacking
June 6th 2007
I seem to have the weirdest dreams when I stay up late and have a lot on my mind.
This one took place in Baltimore City. I think my father and I had just left the Grove and had stopped off at a bank somewhere in the ghetto. The odd thing was, it was bank with drive-by for people on foot, so you had to stand in line outside.
So we’re both waiting in line, when I look over and see two guys breaking the windows in our car. My father runs down and scares them off, but they had a friend off in a building in the distance who shot him with an arrow. So I ran down and grabbed a rifle from inside the car that we had (It looked like a mauzer but was pump-action) and fired a few shots in the air, which caused most of the people outside to flee.
The carjackers ran off temporarily, but came back with their own guns, and more buddies. I started picking them off one by one, but also trying to drive at the same time to get my father to a hospital.
I don’t remember much of what happened after that, except that it was dark, I still hadn’t found a hospital, and I woke up.
I don’t know what’s with my dreams about guns lately.

Dream: Held Hostage with Wolves
May 26th 2007
We were at the house here, and it must have been winter because there was snow on the ground.
There was what looked like a large gray wolf outside that kept going after our chickens. It kept leaping over the fence in the back yard, running after loose chickens and charging the cages, trying to rip them apart.
For some reason I grabbed the .22 first, because we always keep it by the back door, and started firing a few rounds at it. But that didn’t seem to deter it at all. It started coming after me, snarling and growling at the back door. It kept trying to push its way through the doggie door, and I kept trying to push it back out. I’d fire a few more shots at it, but it still kept coming.
It eventually pushed its way inside and Bastian attacked it, but it was so big. My dad shot at it and wounded it and it ran off. But then we saw a large black pittbull in the distance that was apparently running with it, and it decided to come after us too. They eventually both made it inside the house, and no manner of bullets was stopping them.
Somehow the owners showed up and pulled both dogs back, but by this time we realized they were using the dogs to “kidnap” people in their own homes. They held us hostage, and I was out of bullets, as was my father. For some reason they let us keep our guns because they knew we were out of ammunition (or in my case, they somehow switched out my bullets so I couldn’t use it).
There was about 3 of them, and we were waiting around for hours. My father was exhausted, and I was scared for him and Bastian. I told them I was getting my fathers medicine out of his room, because I know the old 12-gauge shotgun was in there, and earlier I had stuffed some of the shells for it in my pocket.
I was able to slip into his room, but unable to find it. I came back out and sat next to my father to tend to his leg, and whispered to him to find out where it was. It was buried underneath a pile of clothes, he said. So I slipped back in and found it, then loaded it. I only had a single shot, and needed to reload fast. But hopefully they wouldn’t be able to tell I switched out my empty .22 for a loaded shotgun.
I came back out and kept it at my side mostly, waiting for the opportunity where I could shoot one and quickly reload to get the others. Finally my old co-worker from Terminix called, and while they were listening to the answering machine message, I was able to get in a good shot, and took out the woman (their leader). I reloaded quickly enough to take out the second guy, and Bastian attacked the third.
For some reason the dogs were gone at this point.
And then I woke up and got on here to type it out before I forgot. Time to go back to sleep!

Dream: Lions
March 12th 2007
This dream took place in a very foreign neighborhood. I don’t ever think I’ve been in a neighborhood that looked like this. Essentially it was two rows of condos, with a parking lot in between them, and they faced each other.
Somehow a lion had gotten loose. And every few days it’d show up in this neighborhood and eat someone. We’d never know when, and for some reason, everytime it left, people thought it was gone for good.
I remember waking up and peeking out the door and seeing it across the parking lot resting on the awning of a neighbor, waiting for someone to come out. I tried to scream for them to stay inside, but they did not listen. The lion pounced on him and killed him.
The next day, for some reason my dog was left outside, and I saw the lion running for him, so I pulled him quickly inside onto the enclosed front porch. As I was trying to pull him into the house behind the main door, the lion crashed through the screened in porch, but I was just close enough to shut the door. But after that it kept stalking my house.
I can’t remember too many details other than that, as I forgot to write them all down. But I remember trying to escape through various exits and never being able to.
